This distinctive Victorian beauty is a STRIKINGLY crafted Wilcox Mahogany drop-front-secretary desk with nice accents and amazing carved details -- all with original hardware and original key. The locking mechanism works like a champ. Note the VERY sweet finials and carved crown feature. It comes from a Woodville, Mississippi Plantation estate and is TOTALLY ORIGINAL and CORRECT. The construction is very solid, the carving striking. Crafted around 1890 or maybe the early 1900's, it makes a stunning statement as a storied feature in any plantation decor room. The desk is in simply superb condition -- NO deficits considering it's age. NO loose joints or replaced hardware or incorrect screws -- NONE of that. It is simply gorgeous.
