Splendid Antique Brass Bed -- Original Rails. Acquired in early 1960s From I.M. Causey's Antique Furniture Store in Baton Rouge and was over 100 Years Old Then!

All original, complete brass bed with the original bedrails. 100% authentic, a piece that is hard to find nowadays nowadays in this non-traditional size and with its original hardware ALL intact, including original bedrails-- ALL complete and right.
It is unmarked but dates from the late 1800s.The construction is very solid -- all very heavy and sturdy.
MEASUREMENTS and DETAILS: The bed has very appealing proportions, especially for those of us who dig the old brass stuff -- even if it is a special size. Height 57 1/2″ for the headboard and 43" for the footboard; Width 53 1/2″ total and 50" wide for the mattress; Bedrail length is 71" -- just under 6 feet.
