This distinctive piece is well marked and a substantial and well-crafted mahogany buffet or sideboard in a North Carolina tidewater "take" on the post-WW II "Danish Modern" style. It REALLY works nicely. The buffet has lovely carved accents, amazing details and a distinctive serpentine front. The construction is very solid, the carving striking and the piece original -- all as expected out of well-made post-war Morganton, North Carolina furniture. Crafted around 1948-59, it would look great in any decor room. ALL of the hardware is completely intact and original.
