ANTIQUE WOODEN CIGARETTE & TOBACCO DISPLAY CASE STORED IN A PORT HUDSON/FELICIANA BARN
This is a very distinctive, antique, VERY RARELY SEEN carved wooden display case is apparently from an old country grocery store somewhere, with its drawers, slats and accessories completely intact. TOTALLY ORIGINAL -- you can almost still smell the old tobacco which used to be stacked in this thing. The construction is very solid and shows that it was made many years ago, although we have no idea of its age.

The photos are provided to demonstrate the A-1 condition of this old tobacco display case removed from the loft of a barn we renovated out near Neville Plantation Port Hudson, LA. We have cleaned out the contents, dusted it off inside and out but have not otherwise tried to clean it. The wood is very attractive and the carving is eye-catching and distinctive. This is a unique and lovely piece from "back in the day."
MEASUREMENTS: The pictures have an 18" ruler included so you can assess the measurements yourself. It is about 37" wide, approximately 24" or 25" tall -- not counting the ornamental crown work--and 6" deep at the base. (Slightly less deep above the base -- maybe 5 ½".)
100% all original. Drawer opens and closes JUST as it should and is hand-made. VERY COLLECTIBLE or would make a great accent piece.
