This wonderful piece is a all-original mahogany shaving stand with the desirable add-ons: A built-in drawer and claw feet adorning the pedestal stand. These are the accents and additions you want if you are seeking an antique piece like this.
The piece is 100% authentic, with all of its original components present, all original carved accents totally undisturbed -- ALL complete and right. The stand is unmarked but dates from the 1890-1900 time period. The construction is very solid and can actually be functional even now -- no problem. This is NOT a cheap modern "knock-off" to be used only for "show." The wood grain is lovely with a great patina.

The photos are provided to demonstrate the condition of this pedestal shaving stand, which comes from a New York Estate. It has the marks expected after over a century of service BUT is still absolutely SOLID IN EVERY RESPECT. We have dusted it off but have not otherwise tried to clean it. The crafting is expertly rendered and distinctive. This is a unique and lovely piece from "back in the day."
