Antique 19th Century Plantation Corner Cabinet
Antique 19th Century Plantation Corner Cabinet -- With ALL Original Hardware and Painted
This piece is an all-original 1890s/1910-era plantation hand-fashioned corner cabinet with original hardware -- including the original cabinet shelving, which is often damaged or missing. Here it's completely intact. The piece is 100% authentic -- ALL complete and right. The piece has acquired some interior paint along its journey, but it has weathered beautifully. It comes from a Neville Plantation outbuilding emptied in the 1990's, where it had been stored for many decades.
It is a classic plantation piece from the late 1800's and features just the "look" you would want. The construction is very solid -- this was NOT a cheap "knock-off" -- not back in the day and not now.
SALE PRICE: $500
The photos are provided to demonstrate the condition of this splendid old plantation piece, which was retrieved from a barn, after all! It has the marks of that service BUT is still absolutely SOLID IN EVERY RESPECT.
I have cleaned out the contents, dusted it off inside and out but have not otherwise tried to clean it. Even in its current condition, the wood remains very attractive, the old painting cool and the crafting of the piece just fits the bill perfectly. All cabinet doors operate beautifully.
MEASUREMENTS and DETAILS: The cabinet has classic & appealing proportions, especially for those of us who dig the old plantation stuff. It is perfect as a functional item or would make an accent piece that would catch everyone's attention.
