OVAL WW II U.S. ARMY MOTHER'S SON IN SERVICE PIN RESCUED FROM A PORT HUDSON, LA/FELICIANA BARN -- MARKED AS STERLING SILVER

As seen in the pictures, this Mother's "Son in Service" lapel pin shows one star for one son in service. this pin is unusual in that it is oval as opposed to the usual rectangular configuration. It is shown alongside a dime, included for reference. YOU get the pin -- I keep the dime!
The is marked STERLING on the back with the maker's mark. (I do not recognize the maker -- you might.) The clasp opens and closes just as it should. This pin was found on my Neville Plantation Property with military memorabilia from WW II thru Vietnam. The photos are provided to demonstrate the A-1 condition of this old item. All original with everything in place and right. We have dusted the pin off & wiped it down gently, but have not otherwise tried to clean it.
