Antique 1860s--1880s Neville Plantation Wooden Commode

Antique Neville Plantation Wooden Commode -- attractive, complete and in GREAT condition. (See HISTORY info below.)
This piece is in original antique condition and still has ALL its ORIGINAL HARDWARE. All of the unions and legs are AOK, as is the fitting of the drawers and covered bottom shelf, which held the chamber pot. The chamber pot is missing after all these years -- and the commode is priced accordingly.
The interior of the commode shows obvious use through the years but is all as it should be. The top has some cracks from drying, as shown in the pictures but does not detract from the presentation of the item, which was removed from the loft of a Neville Plantation barn I renovated out near Port Hudson, LA. I have dusted it off but have not attempted to seriously clean it.
100% all original. Opens and closes JUST as it should. Nothing is missing except the chamber pot. It retains the wooden, hand-carved cover of the pot (often missing!) and is thus totally "right," as they say in the trade. I am unsure of the type wood used in the construction.
Price: $280, which is a fair price for this old throwback.
MEASUREMENTS: 28 1/2" tall, 27 1/2" deep and 20 1/2" wide.
HISTORY: The barn in which this commode was found is on land which was once Neville Plantation adjacent to Port Hudson, very near the Civil War battle-siege site. Neville Plantation burned in the late 1920's and I speculate this once common item hails from some era well before that time -- maybe even from the time of the Civil War siege.
VERY COLLECTIBLE or would make a great accent piece with any decor.
