ANTIQUE 1920s-ERA WOODEN CABINET-TOP RADIO -- ALL ORIGINAL
This wonderful old mahogany-cased tube radio is an all-original radio dating from around 1920 or so. It still has the ORIGINAL dials and "innards," which includes condensers, ceramic sockets and tubes, which are often missing. The piece is 100% authentic -- ALL complete and right. I have not tried to fire up the radio so have NO idea whether it could be made to function.
The cabinet is unrestored but in GREAT original condition with it original finish & a very sweet patina. All hinges and sections work AOK -- nothing loose or "wobbly." All the dials rotate properly. Although not marked, this model has the "look" of a Crossley Mark IV and is NOT some modern "knock-off" -- it is the real deal and rare. (Look online -- you will NOT see a piece offered like this one!)
A true antique radio collector would LOVE this piece.
The photos are provided to demonstrate the condition of this old radio, which has the marks service BUT is still absolutely SOLID IN EVERY RESPECT. We have dusted it off but have not otherwise tried to clean or restore it. Even in its current condition, the radio remains very attractive and the crafting is both eye-catching and distinctive. This is a unique and lovely piece from "back in the day."
This awesome cabinet-top radio will make a statement in any room.
MEASUREMENTS and DETAILS: 32.5" wide, 11.5" deep, 9" tall.
100% all original and VERY COLLECTIBLE.
